2906_2025-26_TTB_09. Gayndah Administration Centre Roof Repairs and Demolition.
Council invites offers from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake significant building repairs and demolition works at the Gayndah Administration Centre. This Invitation to Offer represents an opportunity for contractors to deliver high-visibility asset improvement works that are central to the safe operation and renewal of Council facilities.
The works are separated into two distinct portions, allowing contractors to tender for one or both portions depending on their expertise and resources:
• Separable Portion 1: Roof Repairs and reinstatement to the Gayndah Administration Centre Buildings, addressing leaks, deterioration, and compliance issues.
• Separable Portion 2: Demolition of redundant structures including the “Old Fleet Workshop” and “fuel Bowser Shelter”, with full asbestos removal, safe disposal, and site reinstatement.
Council seeks to partner with contractors who can demonstrate technical competence, strong WHS, and environmental management systems, and a track record of delivering works on time, in budget, and to high standards of quality and compliance.
This project represents a strategic investment in Council’s built assets, aimed at ensuring community facilities remain safe, functional, and sustainable.
The successful contractor(s) will:
• Deliver high-quality roof repairs that extend the life of the Gayndah Administration Centre and ensure compliance with building standards.
• Remove unsafe and redundant structures, including asbestos, in strict accordance with legislation and codes of practice.
• Support Council’s asset renewal program through timely and safe delivery.
This opportunity will suit contractors with proven experience in:
• Commercial roof repair and reinstatement works.
• Asbestos removal, monitoring, and certification.
• Demolition of redundant or unsafe structures within operational community facilities.
The detailed scope of works is outlined in the accompanying Specification Document.
Key elements include:
• Replacement of roof sheeting, flashing, gutters and capping.
• Structural rectification, ceiling replacements, and mould remediation.
• Painting and sealing for weatherproofing and building longevity.
• Installation of energy-efficient air conditioning systems.
• Licensed asbestos removal, air monitoring, and site clearance certification.
• Full demolition of the Old Fleet Workshop and Fuel Bowser Shelter, with site reinstatement.
