2025T098C - Procurement of Emergency Generators for Park Avenue WWTP & Blackwater WTP
Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) owns, operates, and maintains critical water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the region, including the Park Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant in Emerald and the Blackwater Water Treatment Plant. To ensure continuity of essential services, particularly during power outages or other disruptions to electricity supply, CHRC requires the provision of reliable standby power generation capacity at these facilities.
As part of this requirement, CHRC seeks the supply and delivery of two diesel-powered generators:
• One 420 kVA generator for the Park Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant; and
• One 330 kVA generator with an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) for the Blackwater Water Treatment Plant.
The generators will provide resilient backup power to maintain uninterrupted operations and protect treatment processes that are essential to community health and environmental protection.
