500.2025.0027 - Proserpine Trunk Watermain Design
Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) requires a suitably qualified Design Consultant (Consultant) to design three (3) new sections of trunk watermain infrastructure, approximately 5 kms in total (Project). The purpose of the Project is to alleviate the pressure and flow constraints in the existing network and ensure that the service meets the Desired Service Standard (DSS).
This Project is delivered as a part of the Local Government Infrastructure Plan and is intended to be delivered in stages, with the current stage focussing on completing a detailed design for the sections listed below:
a) High-level Reservoir Trunk Watermain – see Appendix A showing the proposed layout and this section is marked in red in Figure 1;
b) Renwick Road Trunk Watermain (full extent till Gardenia Street) – see Appendix B showing the proposed layout and this section is marked in blue in Figure 1; and
c) Taylor Street to Horsford Place & Fuljames Street Trunk Watermain – see Appendix C showing the proposed layout and this section is marked in yellow in Figure 1.
