T04-2026 - RFT - Preferred Supplier Arrangement Supply and Delivery of Bulk Fuel
Barcoo Shire Council has had a preferred supplier list for the supply and delivery of bulk fuels (Diesel, Avgas and Jet A1). The supply is for the operations of Council as well as the sale of aviation fuels at the Airport in the township of Windorah. The current arrangement expires on 31 October.
The preferred supplier arrangement will be established and regular quotations (via Vendor Panel) will be sought from the preferred supplier arrangement.
The arrangement will commence from 3 November 2025 for a period of two (2) years ending on 29 October 2027.
Suppliers are asked to complete the included response form to enable Council to consider their inclusion on the preferred supplier panel for the purpose of requesting quotations. Inclusion on the panel does not guarantee the future use of the supplier but the supplier will be asked to quote for supply of the required fuels.
Council may "refresh" the register of pre-qualified suppliers at anytime during the contract term. The refresh will involve Council issuing a new request for tender. Unless otherwise advised by Council, only new suppliers will be required to respond. New suppliers will be evaluated against the same criteria as the original tenderers were.
Not only is the delivery of fuel to made to Jundah (Diesel) and Windorah (aviation fuels) the Shire have 2 mobile work camps that work throughout the Shire. These camps currently work a 10 day on 4 day off roster which could possibly impact on the timing of fuel (diesel) replenishment.
A report will be presented to the October Council meeting being held on 15 October for approval.
Successful panel members will be notified no later than 22 October and must be ready to provide quotes for supply as from 3 November 2025.
Suppliers will be required to hold all necessary licenses to deliver bulk fuel including a Workplace Health and Safety Plan.
Suppliers will be required to hold all necessary insurances for the delivery of bulk fuel.
