TEN/2890 - Appointment of External Representative - Audit and Risk Committee
Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants for appointment as the Independent External Representative to Council’s Audit and Risk Committee (the Committee).
The Audit and Risk Committee is established under Section 105 of the Local Government Act 2009 and operates as an advisory body providing oversight, independent assurance, and guidance in the areas of financial management, risk management, internal control, audit, and governance. The Committee supports Council in meeting its statutory obligations for accountability, transparency, and sound financial decision-making.
Council requires the appointment of one (1) independent external representative due to the expiry of the current member’s term.
The consultant will be appointed for a four (4) year term and engaged under Council’s standard consultancy contract terms and conditions. A copy of this contract (in draft format) has been supplied as part of the Request for Quotation documentation.
Term commencement is expected immediately following Council approval of the appointment, currently estimated to be February 2026.
