TEN16522 - Fairy Bower Road Scrubby Creek Bridge Design & Construction
The Fairy Bower Road project has been funded under the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure State Program. The works will form part of the bridge renewal program to install a single span bridge over the existing Scrubby Creek waterway. This alignment change will help improve the safety of the road and improve rural access in this area. The current floodway overtops regularly during weather events and increases the risk of incidents along this section or road and decreases access to properties in this area.
The project will replace the existing single-lane concrete floodway structure with a two lane/two way single span bridge, including guardrail and construction of new road approaches with improved alignment to the structure.
The Rockhampton Regional Council requests the services of a suitably qualified Contractor to design and construct the bridge works and construct the adjoining roadworks in accordance with detailed design provided in the tender documents.
