T11-2026 - Barcoo SC Asset Condition Assessment - Electrical Safety
Barcoo Shire Council invites quotes from suitably qualified suppliers for the provision of Fire and Electrical Safety Asset Condition Assessment Services across Council’s buildings, community facilities, residential dwellings, depots, mobile camps, and operational sites.
This engagement forms part of Council’s broader Fire and Electrical Safety Program, which aims to provide a consolidated, evidence-based understanding of the condition, compliance status, and risk profile of Fire Safety Assets and Electrical Safety Assets across the Shire.
These assessments will directly support the development of Barcoo Shire Council’s Asset Management Plans, long-term capital planning, renewal forecasting, and future procurement of rectification and maintenance contracts.
The Consultant will be responsible for delivering the services described in Part 4 – Scope of Services, including:
• Fire Safety Asset inspections and compliance assessments
• Electrical Safety Asset inspections, switchboard assessments and RCD testing
• Consolidation and validation of Council’s asset register
• Development of condition ratings, risk ratings, and defect registers
• Prioritised recommendations for asset rectification, renewal, upgrade, replacement or further investigation
• Digital datasets (Excel, GIS ready files, photographic evidence, metadata)
• Reporting suitable for Council’s governance, budgeting, and planning cycles
Suppliers should note that Council’s annual budgeting and work programming cycle requires that draft findings be available by 28 March 2026, with final deliverables due by end April 2026.
Council intends to use this Condition Assessment as the foundation for future procurement of electrical and fire rectification works and long-term servicing arrangements.
