NVC Heritage Agreement Incentive Grants 2024-2026
The Native Vegetation Council (NVC) are offering Incentive Grants to landowners wanting to establish a new Heritage Agreement or expand an existing Heritage Agreement.
Incentive Grants encourage landholders to establish new Heritage Agreements to protect native vegetation on their land.
Heritage Agreements are conservation areas on private land that help contribute to restoring or protecting native vegetation and biodiversity.
These grants will help fund short-term projects (1-5 years) and are available to all SA landholders.
The grant funding is to be used for activities that will help to establish the Heritage Agreement and improve condition of native vegetation. The focus of the grant should be for on-ground activities that enhance habitat for conservation significant species or communities, including those listed within:
• Australian Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
• State National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972
• Provisional List of Threatened Ecosystems of South Australia (DEH in progress)
• any regional Landscapes or biodiversity plans.
