Sport and Recreation Strategic Infrastructure Grant Program
The City of Victor Harbor Sport and Recreation – Strategic Infrastructure Grant Program aims to encourage active lifestyles in the local community by supporting organisations to provide high-quality, inclusive, and accessible sports and recreation infrastructure and facilities that benefit the Victor Harbor community.
Program Objectives
Provision of high-quality, inclusive, and accessible sports and recreation infrastructure and facilities, that result in:
• Improved safety outcomes
• Are more accessible and inclusive
• Have a positive response to climate change and environmental sustainability.
• Improve efficiency resulting in a reduction of costs associated with delivering and participating in sport and recreation.
• Increase in the number of participants and/or groups able to utilise the space.
• Increased with the activation resulting in positive economic outcomes
Funding applications for both minor sports and recreation programs/initiatives and for individuals to undertake professional development/attend high-level competitions will now be considered under the Community Grants Program.
Budget
Funding per application/applicant is capped at $20,000 to support the development of accessible and fit-for-purpose community sport and active recreation strategic infrastructure.
Co-contribution
Applicants are expected to contribute at least 50% of the project cost. The contribution can be either cash or in-kind.
