Got a Great Community Project in Mind? Council Grants Now Open
Circular Head Council is encouraging local not‑for‑profit organisations to apply for Round Two of the 2025/26 Community Small Grants Program.
Mayor Gerard Blizzard said the program helps bring local ideas to life - projects that build connection, boost health and wellbeing, celebrate our culture, and support the people who make Circular Head a vibrant and welcoming place.
Grants are available across six categories:
• Community Development
• Community Facilities
• Cultural Heritage
• Community Events
• Cultural Development
• Sport, Recreation and Healthy Living
Two funding options are on offer:
• Major Grants up to $3,000
• Minor Grants up to $1,000
“These grants support a wide range of initiatives, from upgrading community spaces and purchasing essential equipment to running local events, caring for our environment, or launching new wellbeing activities” Mayor Blizzard said.
Council assesses applications twice a year to help local organisations plan, grow and respond to community needs. The program supports the goals in Council’s Corporate Strategic Plan 2017–2027, especially Connected Communities and Community Recreation and Wellbeing. It aims to build a community that is inclusive, active, safe and proud of its identity.
Recent funding has supported a wide range of local initiatives, including postnatal exercise programs, community gardens, youth recreation activities, facility upgrades, environmental projects, and the purchase of essential equipment for local sporting and community groups.
