About the Program:
Stonnington Middle Years and Youth Services are looking for an artists and facilitators to deliver Creative Workshops in a weekly program on Monday afternoons from 4.00pm - 5.00pm for children (5-12 years) who access The Hub, on the Horace Petty Housing Estate in South Yarra. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for children to explore their creativity, learn new skills, experience mentorship and to work together to create something we can showcase i.e. an Art Gallery for their families and peers at the end of the year. We're open to your ideas as to what the children could create and also the medium in which it could be showcased.
We are interested in having 2 - 3 artists/facilitators run workshops in Term 4 exploring different creative areas. Previously we have done cartooning, clay, STEAM, Leggo, murals, painting, photography - your Ideas and pitches are welcome!
We're looking for someone with experience working with children 5-12years from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, low socio economic statuses and an adaptable facilitation style to meet the group where they are at.
A valid Working with Children Check is required.
