24/25-89 - Mining Exchange - Façade Render Repair and Paint Works
The scope of works includes the following:
- Wash down rendered surfaces to remove moss and lichen growth
- Strip down paint from rendered surfaces using chemical paint strippers and low to med pressure water wash. Protect brickwork from runoff and discoloration from paint residue.
- Remove calcite deposits from render
- Remove top surface of balustrade and apply new traditional 3 coat cement / lime / sand render weathering to top of balustrade
- Allow to strip and replace 25% of the cornice top surface, using traditional 3 coat cement / lime / sand render built up to form weathering surfaces
- Clear out cracks in pressed cement baluster bottles and urns. Allow to fill cracks with cement render mix to a fair surface
- Apply two coats of Ability Building Colours 'duro paint' matching Alibox Creamstone 8.3% in grey cement to clean render surfaces in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Protect brickwork from splashes
- Include all access equipment required to undertake the works
- Clear site.
