EOI to Lease The Point Community Hub
Expressions of Interest are being sought to lease spaces within the Point Community Hub.
The City of Greater Geelong (City) is inviting submissions for an exciting lease opportunity for space within the Point Community Hub located 88-90 Point Boulevard, Point Lonsdale.
Background
The Point Community Hub was constructed by Moremac Property Group as part of the development approval conditions for The Point development. The City of Greater Geelong will soon assume responsibility for its ongoing care and ownership as a community asset.
The Point Community Hub
The Point Community Hub will serve as a multi-purpose facility, offering flexible meeting and activity spaces.
The space is designed to support community meetings and programs. It is flexible and adaptable, making it suitable for a wide variety of uses. We are inviting the community and organisations to propose how they would use it.
An existing café, operated by Café 3225, is located on site. The café has become a valued part of the community. Its presence presents a valuable opportunity to engage with a well-established local business that has a strong patronage and has created a welcoming atmosphere. As the hub continues to grow, the café helps reinforce its role as a natural gathering place, fostering connection, community engagement and a sense of belonging.
Strategically positioned in a highly prominent location, the hub enjoys a northerly aspect overlooking The Point waterway. It borders Point Boulevard to the west, with The Point’s hike and bike trail passing directly in front.
Proposals
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are open to all parties. The City’s preferred outcome is to appoint a single service provider to take up a lease for the spaces. However the City will also consider interest for specific spaces.
Through this process, we invite interested applicants to present their vision for the site. Proposals should outline how the property will meet their operational needs, while also demonstrating their capacity to effectively activate and utilise the space.
