Patterson River Sculpture Trail - The Launching Way
Public Art Opportunity
Expressions of interest are now open.
We are inviting expressions of interest (EOI) from experienced artists to develop concepts for a new piece of functional art that provides both seating and shade along the Patterson River corridor in Carrum.
The Patterson River is a peaceful destination, renowned for its beautiful views, opportunities to enjoy nature, and strong connection to the bay. The artwork will face the river and highlight the area’s unique coastal setting and culture.
The commission aims to strengthen community identity, attract visitors, and enhance connectivity in the area. Artists are encouraged to reflect on themes such as community, water as a connector, transition, and appreciation of nature.
As part of the Council’s plan to expand the Patterson River Sculpture Trail, this new addition will further enhance the public art project along the river.
