The Shire of Northam is excited to announce the upcoming launch of its refreshed Community Grants Program, developed under a newly updated policy framework. This program is designed to support local community organisations in delivering meaningful projects, events, and initiatives that align with the Shire’s strategic direction as outlined in the Council Plan.
The program will feature two distinct funding opportunities:
• Bright Ideas Grant – Supporting innovative and creative community-driven initiatives.
• Community Growth Grant – Aimed at strengthening community connections and supporting long-term development.
The objectives of the Community Grants Program are to:
• Encourage programs and activities that strengthen the social fabric of the Shire of Northam community.
• Support innovative responses to community needs, particularly for disadvantaged groups and individuals.
• Provide funding where no alternative sources exist.
• Foster partnerships between community organisations.
• Promote high-quality service delivery.
• Build the skills and capacity of the local community.
