Expression of Interest Call for Wardandi Wanil Art Centre Artwork
The Wardandi Wanil Art Centre is inviting expressions of interest from First Nations artists with a connection to Wardandi Country, including those living on, working on, or culturally connected to this Country, to submit proposals to create a distinctive piece of artwork that will help shape the Centre’s brand, visual identity, and promotional imagery.
The commissioned artwork will form the cornerstone of the Centre’s visual identity, reflecting the essence of who we are and how we connect with our community.
It will be featured across a wide range of materials, including program brochures, posters, signage, merchandise, and the Centre’s digital presence. A $2,000 commission payment will be given to the selected artist.
The Wardandi Wanil Art Centre is an exciting new art and cultural hub in Bunbury, created through a landmark partnership between the City of Bunbury, Alcoa Foundation, and Gnaala Karla Booja (GKB) Aboriginal Corporation. It will be a place of gathering, creative development, and cultural exchange, welcoming visitors to connect with the rich artistic traditions and contemporary practices of the region’s First Nations people.
Through the EOI process, we encourage artworks that are inclusive, welcoming, and reflective of diverse creative voices, while remaining grounded in Wardandi Country.
