RFT34/2025 (RFT 34/2025) - Bulk Waste Services - Mattresses, Electronic Waste and Metal Products Includes Collection, Recycling and Delivery
The City of Cockburn (the Principal) is seeking the services of a recycling contractor to:
• Collect and recycle mattresses from Henderson Waste Recovery Park, at 920 Rockingham Rd Henderson WA.
• Collect and recycle mattresses from verges in various streets within the city as part of the bulk verge collection program. The collection occurs twice per year and is available to all residential addresses within the city.
It is expected that at least 80% of a mattress be recycled
• Collect Televisions, Computers, Printers, Computer Electronic Products (Electronic Waste) and metal products when undertaking the mattresses collections as part of the bulk verge collection programme.
There is no requirement for the contractor to recycle the electronic waste and metal waste and is only required to deliver these waste streams to Henderson Waste Recovery Park (HWRP).
The proposed Contract shall be in place for a period of three (3) years from the date of award; with Principal instigated options to extend the period for one (1) subsequent year and up to an additional twelve (12) months after that, to a maximum of five (5) years.
The Contract is expected to commence in March / April 2026.
