Expression of Interest - Independent Deputy Presiding Member Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee
The Shire of Broomehill Tambellup is seeking Expressions of Interest for the position of Independent Deputy Presiding Member of its Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC).
This statutory role supports the leadership of the Committee and contributes to strong governance, financial oversight and organisational performance. The Deputy Presiding Member may chair meetings when required and brings independent judgement, analytical capability and experience in audit, risk or financial management.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
• be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• have experience in at least one of the following areas:
• audit, financial management, governance, compliance, risk, fraud, cybersecurity or internal control systems
• not be a current Councillor or employee of any local government
• not be currently providing paid services to the Shire
• not be subject to bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings
• not have been convicted of a disqualifying offence
Experience with government or governing bodies, chairing formal meetings, and working in complex compliance environments is desirable.
Applicants must also meet eligibility requirements under the Local Government Act 1995.
